Mag Dalni Khichdi

Ingredients |
- 1 cup Moong dal
- 3/4 cup Rice
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 10 Peppercorns
- 4 1/2 cups Water

- 2 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 2 Bay leaves
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Mix and wash the moong dal and rice together. Drain off the water. Add the pepper, hot water, salt, turmeric powder and pressure cook on a high flame for 3 whistles. Then lower the flame and cook for another 10 minutes.
Heat ghee in a pan, add cinnamon and bay leaves. Add the cooked rice and dal mixture and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Garnish with hot ghee (optional) and coriander leaves.
