Gujarati Kadhi (Curd and Gramflour Curry)

Ingredients |
- 2 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
- 2 teacups Curd
- 1 teaspoon Chilli-ginger paste
- 2 Curry leaves
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves

- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 Red chilli
- 2 teaspoons Ghee
- A pinch Asafoetida
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Mix the gram flour, curd and 3 teacups of water together. Beat well to avoid lumps. Add the chilli-ginger paste, curry leaves, sugar and salt and put to boil, stirring constantly. Prepare the tempering (tadka) by heating the ghee in a small pan and frying the cumin and mustard seeds until they turn brown or start crackling. Add the asafoetida and red chilli.Add the tempering to the kadhi and boil for a few minutes.
Sprinkle coriander on top and serve hot.
