Maslli Koddi (Fish Curry)

Ingredients |
- 1/2 kg Fish
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 medium Tomato
- 2 Green chillies
- 4 Kokum
- 1/4 teaspoon Tamarind paste
- 1/2 Grated coconut

- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoons Coriander seeds
- 10 Red chillies
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 5 Garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Grind the coconut, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chillies and cloves to a fine paste.
Wash the fish and cut into fillets. Sprinkle salt over it and set aside for ten minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, saute the onions till transparent. Add the tomatoes and fry till they are tender. Add the turmeric powder and ground paste. Fry till the oil the sides of the pan. Add 2 cups of water and boil. Add salt, tamarind paste, green chillies, kokum and boil for another 5 minutes. Add the fish and simmer till completely cooked.
