Dibba Roti (Thick grainy pancakes)

Ingredients |
- 1 cup Split black gram
- 2 cups Rice
- 1 tablespoon Cumin powder

- Water
- Oil
- Salt(As per taste)

Method |
Soak the dal for 40-45 minutes and grind coarsely. Grind the rice to a coarse paste, separately.
Mix the coarsely ground rice and dal mixtures with hot water, cumin powder and salt to make a smooth thick batter. Spread a ladle of the mixture on an oiled curved griddle (deep tawa). Cook on a slow fire. Flip over and cook the other side till done. The roti will be thicker in the middle.
Serve hot with chutney or ketchup or any vegetable gravy.
