Fofos (Fish fingers)

Ingredients |
- 1/2 kg Mackerels
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 4 Green chillies
- 1 Egg
- 2 medium Potatoes
- 1 tablespoon Vinegar

- 3 Garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 2 cups Bread crumbs
- 1 cup Oil
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Marinate the fish in salt and vinegar for 10 minutes. Cook it with a little water. De-bone and set aside.
Mix together the fish, mashed potatoes, garlic, chillies, turmeric powder and the lemon juice. Shape into small fingers. Dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
Serve hot.
