Marinated Lamb Kebabs

Ingredients |
- 150 ml Yoghurt
- 1 inch Ginger
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons Chopped mint leaves
- 2 teaspoon Cumin powder

- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 700 grams Lamb
- 2 medium Onions
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Marinate the meat for 24-48 hours for this recipe.
Peel and grate the fresh ginger, skin and crush the garlic. Chop the fresh mint. Trim the excess fat off the lamb and cut in to cubes.
Put the yoghurt in a large bowl and add the ginger, garlic, mint, cumin, turmeric, salt and chilli powder. Stir well to mix.
Add the cubes of lamb to the bowl and stir to coat with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 days, turning occasionally.
Thread the lamb and onion quarters alternately on to 4 oiled kebab skewers, pressing the pieces as close together as possible. Reserve any left over marinade.
Grill the kebabs under moderate heat for 10 minutes until the lamb is browned on the outside and pink in the centre. Turn frequently during grilling and brush with the reserved marinade. Serve hot, garnished with mint and lemon wedges.
