Pantua (Cottage cheese pancakes)

Ingredients |
- 250 grams Cottage cheese
- 150 grams Khoya
- 3 tablespoons Refined flour
- 3 1/2 cups Water

- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Rose water
- Oil

Method |
Mix the sugar and water and make a syrup over low flame. Mix the paneer and khoya into a smooth paste. Gradually add the flour and cardamom powder and knead well in to soft dough. Divide into about 15 oblong portions.
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the pieces two at a time very carefully till evenly browned. Put the sugar syrup on the fire and warm on a low flame. Add the rose water and soak the fried pantuas in it.
Serve either hot or cold.
