 Nari Kal Ladoo (Coconut Ladoo)
  • 6 cups Grated coconut
  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cardamom powder
Scoop out the kernel from two coconuts and then measure it. If it comes to 6 cups, use exactly half the amount of sugar (3 cups). Make sure that no black part of the coconut kernel gets scraped out of the coconut as the ladoos have to be pure white in colour.

Mix the sugar and coconut with spatula in a bowl. Put the mixture in a thick-bottomed kadhai on a low fire. Stir constantly. Once the sugar has melted and become sticky, take the kadhai off the fire, add cardamom powder and mix well.

Roll into small balls on palms of hands while still warm. If the batter dries, sprinkle a few drops of milk. The ladoos must be white and hard after they are dry.
