 Bandhakopir Misti Dalna (Cabbage cooked with Coconut and Milk) 
  • 500 grams Cabbage
  • 1/2 Grated coconut
  • 6-8 Green chillies
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Sugar
  • Salt (As per taste)
Heat oil in a karai. Add the mustard seeds and when this stops spluttering add finely sliced cabbage.

Add salt to the cabbage. Stir and cover. Simmer 5-7 minutes. Remove cover and cook over medium flame until nearly cooked. If necessary, add a little water. When cabbage is nearly done and practically dry, add all but 2 tablespoons of grated coconut. Also add the slit green chillies. Stir and continue cooking until cabbage is done.

Mix together the milk and flour. Stir into cabbage along with the sugar. Stir-fry until milk is absorbed into the cabbage.

Remove from fire and sprinkle with the remaining 2 tablespoons of the grated coconut.
