 Lauki Kheer (Bottle gourd pudding) 
  • 1/2 kg Bottle gourd
  • 1 1/2 litre Milk
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar
  • 6 Green cardamom
  • 20 Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Water
Grate the bottle gourd. Put the water to boil.

When the water starts boiling add the grated gourd. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add milk and sugar. Simmer till thick and creamy.

Pour in a dish and garnish with almonds(blanched and sliced) and crushed cardamom seeds.
Serve warm or cold.
