 Aloo Mattar Rassa (Potatoes and Peas curry) 
  • 1/2 kg Potatoes
  • 1/2 Cup Peas (fresh)
  • 1/2 kg Potatoes
  • 1/2 Cup Peas (fresh)
  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 2-3 Tomatoes
  • 2-3 Green chillies
  • 2 Chilli (red)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • Oil
Grind the red chillies(de-seeded), onion and ginger to a fine paste. Boil, peel and cube the potatoes. Finely chop the tomatoes.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan, fry the ground paste and turmeric powder for a few minutes with a little water. Add the peas, cubed potatoes, slit green chillies, salt and saute for a few minutes. Add 1 cup water, cover and cook till the vegetables are tender. Add the chopped tomatoes and 1 cup water, simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add the well beaten curd and cook on a low flame till the gravy is well blended.

Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with coriander. Serve hot with parathas.
