Pudina Thuvaiyal (Mint Chutney)

Ingredients |
- 1 bunch Mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons Mustard seeds
- 2 Green chillies
- 2 Red chillies
- 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida powder

- 3 teaspoons Urad dal
- 1 tablespoon Tamarind paste
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- Salt(As per taste)

Method |
Stem the mint leaves and roast dry.
Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the green chillies, red chillies, asafoetida powder, urad dal and mustard seeds till the urad dal turns golden. Grind to a fine paste adding the roasted mint leaves, tamarind, salt, and sufficient water.
Serve with hot rice, dosais and vadais.
