 Ellu Urundai (Sesame Laddu) 
  • 4 cups White sesame seeds
  • 1/4 Coconut
  • 1 1/2 cup Grated jaggery
  • 1/2 cup Water
Chop the coconut into very small bits. Dry roast the sesame seeds till light brown in colour.

Heat the jaggery with 1/2 cup water to make a syrup. Add the chopped coconut pieces. Simmer till the syrup becomes thick and sticky. Add the sesame seeds. Mix well and turn off the heat. Quickly shape into small laddoos with oily palms while the mixture is still hot.

Store in an airtight container.
