Ingredients |
- 200 grams Cottage cheese
- 1 kg Sugar
- 2 cups Water
- 1/4 teaspoon Golden food colouring

- 2 teaspoons Cardamom powder
- 8 Almonds
- 8 Pistachios
- 1 tablespoon Maida

Method |
To make syrup: gently boil 1 kg of sugar with 2 cups of water and 1 tsp. of cardamom powder until you have a syrup that is golden in colour and has one-thread consistency. Set aside.
Chop up the almonds and pistachio. Knead the paneer with maida and make small round balls.
Mix saffron, almonds, pistachios and cardamom powder. Divide the filling into five portions and put into the centre of each ball.Roll back into a ball shape and lower into the hot syrup for a couple of minutes and remove. Let it cool before serving.
