- 200 grams Maida
- 200 grams Green peas
- 2 teaspoons Aniseed
- 1/2 teaspoon Nigella seeds
- 4 Green chillies
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala

- 1/4 inch Ginger
- 3 Bay leaves
- 1 bunch Coriander
- Oil
- 6 teaspoons Ghee
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Chop the green chillies, ginger and coriander. Coarsley grind the green peas, green chillies and ginger..
Add 6 tbsp. ghee and 1/4 tsp. salt to the flour, knead into a soft dough. Cover with wet cloth and set aside..
Heat oil, add nigella seeds (kalonji), aniseeds, bay leaves, pea mixture and salt to taste. Roast the mixture on a low flame till it becomes golden brown. Add garam masala, red chilli powder and mix..
Divide the dough into small balls and flatten a bit. Place about 1 tbsp. of the pea filling into the centre, roll the dough up into a ball again..
Fry the kachodis on a low flame in a deep bottmed pan of oil until golden brown..
Serve hot with chutney.
