  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 4 Green chillies
  • 2 Sliced onions
  • 2 cups Hot water
  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 1 bunch Chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Bengal gram
  • 1 teaspoon Split black gram
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 6 Cashew nuts
  • Salt (As per taste)
Heat half the oil in a frying pan. Add ginger and fry for a minute. Add Bengal gram, black gram, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cashewnuts and fry till the seeds start crackling. Add chopped green chillies and onions and cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes or till the onions are transparent.

Add semolina and mix well. Pour the hot water over it and add salt. Stir well while adding water and continue till all the water has been absorbed. Add the rest of the oil and chopped coriander leaves. Cook for 5-6 minutes and take off fire.

Add lime juice and serve hot.
