  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Soda bi-carb
  • 3 tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon Poppy seeds
  • 3/4 teaspoon Onion seeds

Sieve together flour, salt and soda bicarbonate. Mix sugar, ghee, curd and cup warm water in a bowl. Make a hole in the centre of the flour and pour the curd mixture into it. Knead into a smooth dough with oiled palms. Cover with a wet muslin cloth and keep aside for 4-5 hours till the dough becomes double its original size.
Shape into balls. Pull it lightly with hands and shape into triangle or circle. Slap it on a hot inverted griddle/tawa with wet hands. Sprinkle some poppy and onion seeds on top. When the under side is cooked, place the naan directly on the flame to cook the top. Cook till the seeds turn golden.
