Maccha Soriso Tarkari (Fish curry with Mustard)

Ingredients |
- 1/2 kg Fish
- 2 pieces Dried mango
- 1 tablespoon Panch phoran
- 1 large Tomato
- 2 medium Potatoes
- 1 small Onion

- 2 tablespoons Mustard oil
- 100 grams Mustard seeds
- 12-15 Garlic cloves
- 3 Red chillies
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Rub the fish with salt and turmeric and shallow fry till cooked. Chop the tomato and slice the onions. Chop the potatoes into fingers. Grind the mustard seeds, garlic cloves and red chillies to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan, add the panch phutana (five spice seeds mixture) and allow to splutter. When the seeds start spluttering, add the sliced onions. Fry till light brown. Add the chopped tomato and fry till it is pulpy. Add the potato fingers and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add enough water for the potatoes to cook. Add the mustard paste and fish. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, add the mango pieces. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes or till completetly cooked.
Serve hot with rice.
