 Bhoojan (Pomfret With Onions and Garlic) 
Ingredients
  • 2 medium Pomfret
  • 5 medium Onions
  • 1/2 piece Ginger
  • 15 Garlic cloves
  • 5 Green chillies
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 6 Cocum
  • 1/2 cup Grated coconut
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
  • Salt (As per taste)
Method
Wash and clean the fish. Finely chop the onions.

Heat oil, add chopped onions and fry till transparent. Add the ginger,garlic and green chillies. Saute for a 1-2 minutes. Add water and the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook on a low flame for 7-8 minutes. Pour 1/2 cup of water on the lid. Stir occasionally.

Serve hot with rice or chappatis.
