Nai Appam

Ingredients |
- 1 cup Rice flour
- 1 cup Jaggery
- 1 teaspoon Cardamom seeds
- 3 tablespoons Ghee

- 1 tablespoon Refined flour
- 1 tablespoon Grated coconut
- 1 pinch Baking powder
- Oil (for frying)

Method |
Finely grate the jaggery and boil with little water to make a syrup. Mix in all the other ingredients. Add water, if necessary, to make a thick paste.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan, add a spoonful of the batter at a time and deep fry till dark brown in colour. Remove on tissue paper to get rid of excess oil. Serve hot.
