Chakka Pazham Halwa (Ripe Jackfruit Halwa)

Ingredients |
- 500 grams Jackfruit
- 500 grams Grated jaggery
- 1/2 cup Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder

- 2 teaspoons Mixed nuts
- 2 teaspoons Raisins
- 2 teaspoons Coconut slices
|

Method |
Heat 1 tsp ghee and fry the nuts and the raisins. Dissolve jaggery in 1/2 litre of water and bring it to a boil.
Add the minced jackfruit and continue to cook, stirring continuously and cook till it thickens. Add ghee, cardamom powder, fried nuts and the raisins, mix the contents well and cook for two more minutes. Remove it from fire and transfer the contents to a serving dish. Garnish it with the fried coconut slices.
Serve hot or cold as desired.
