Cabbage With Dal

Ingredients |
- 500 grams Cabbage
- 1/2 cup Toovar dal
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 3 Green chillies

- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Soak the dal for 1 hour. Boil with 1 1/2 cups of water and keep aside. Grind the garlic and chillies to a fine paste.
Heat oil , add the mustard and cumin seeds and allow to splutter. Add the garlic paste and saute for a minute. Then add shredded cabbage and mix well. Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes on a medium flame, stirring occasionally. When the cabbage is soft add the cooked dal and salt. Mix well. Add little water, cover and cook for 7-8 minutes.
Serve hot with chapatis.
