Kheema Mattar (Minced meat cooked with Peas)

- 300 grams Peas (fresh)
- 300 grams Minced meat
- 5 tablespoons Oil
- 11/2 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 11/4 teaspoon Ginger powder (dried)
- 4 tablespoons Curd

- 2 teaspoons Ginger juliennes
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons Kashmiri garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan, add asafoetida, ginger powder, curds and minced meat. Once the mince browns and sticks to the base of the pan, keep adding 4 tablespoons of water and scraping the base of the pan.(Repeat this atleast 4-5 times).
Once the mince has browned add boiled peas, ginger juliennes, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and 2 cups of water. Cook approximately for 10 minutes or till the meat and peas are thoroughly cooked.
